Division Finance Manager– Dream Team
An overview of the Village in terms of its teams, business objectives and key leaders helped me gain a good understanding of how we operate as an enterprise and also know where and who to go for with different questions.
I also found the coaching and support system provided by the Redwoods program highly impactful. The first year after graduation, transitioning to working life is one of the more formative years in professional growth and can be a difficult time. I was able to lean on coaching, mentoring and the buddy system provided by the Redwoods program.
The most impactful project I recently worked on was budgeting labor for 2020 in my division. Given limited resource per guidance, regional operators and I had to reallocate the budget to set an achievable target for each clinic and for different modalities. Setting an achievable target for our clinics especially in labor is important, because these budgets impact teammates in clinics for their hours, teammate morale and the quality of care we provide to our patients.
My advice for candidates is to reach out to your mentors, buddies and the support system provided by the Redwoods program. Everyone is there to help and see you be successful, so take ownership in these relationships and invest in them.
I received a degree in economics at Northwestern.
Fun fact: I like to play tennis and love Korean food!
