Redwoods Analyst 2015, Redwoods Resident 2019
Group Regional Operations DirectorPolaris

My career journey has been made entirely possible by the Village and the amazing mentors and managers I have had. I started as a Redwoods Analyst focusing on financial strategy and data analytics where I was able to develop technical skills. I was asked to take an interim operational finance role, which was a great experience and led to a permanent role transition. From there I became drawn to the operations side of things, and with the support of my managers, I joined the Redwoods Resident program in 2019 and am now a Regional Operations Director in the Bay Area.

The most impactful project I have worked on thus far was when I became the interim operational finance lead for a division. It was personally impactful because it put in motion what I found to be most fulfilling, which was working with and supporting our front-line teammates.

My advice for Redwoods candidates entering the program is to learn from everything. There is such a large support wheel, and everyone is there to help, including teammates who are not Redwoods or from previous cohorts.

I received a degree in economics & mathematics at UC Santa Cruz, and a degree in finance at Claremont McKenna College.

Fun fact: I was supposed to be named Oscar but Mr. Klein made my mom promise to name me after him two weeks before I was born. We never heard from him again.
