Why DaVita? I love the work that I do and the people I am able to do it with. DaVita has taught me to embrace discomfort: It likely means you are growing.

The most impactful project I have worked on was in response to a California ballot proposition in 2017. The proposition threatened our ability to care for our patients, and I helped build a contingency plan to mitigate the impact on patient care and financial stability. While we (thankfully) never had to put this into practice, the process helped remind me of the needs of our patients and the importance of the care we provide.

My advice to candidates is to be open to uncertainty. I expected to work for DaVita for two years before moving on to another company or business school. I could not predict the opportunities that would be presented to me or the people I would have the honor of working with. While it may seem logical to follow a life plan, it can take a lot of the fun out of living in the present and can close many doors you didn't know existed.

I received a degree in psychology at Stanford University.

Fun fact: Anthony Lynn (head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers) was my football coach in elementary school.
