Regional Operations Director – Galaxy

DaVita provided me the opportunity to be a Redwoods Summer Analyst, Redwoods Analyst and Redwoods Resident. Since joining DaVita in 2009, my goal was to work in operations and become a Regional Operations Director. As a recent graduate from Kellogg School of Management and the Redwoods Resident program, I have now achieved my goal of becoming a Regional Operations Director.

The most impactful project(s) I have worked on was unrelated to my role as an analyst/manager. During my first year, I was tasked with developing Village Service Days for our office in El Segundo. I led a team that developed mid-scale community service events for surrounding neighborhoods in need, one of which gained DaVita a proclamation from the City of Inglewood, CA. Another project was Shoes-A-Palooza, which benefited under-served students in the Denver area. These projects were impactful because it allowed me to give back to the communities we serve and engage teammates in the process.

My advice for candidates is, as Dave Maughan would say: "Aggressively get your needs met." That is truly the best way I can summarize how I have been able to enjoy and grow within the program. Have an understanding of what you need to be successful, charge your support system with helping you get there and play full out when you get those opportunities.

I received my MBA  from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and my bachelor’s degree from University of California Los Angeles.

Fun fact: In one year, I lived in 3 different states and three different countries.
